2019 Venice Lancet Countdown Launch Event

CMCC Foundation (Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change) and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice have organized the Italian launch of  The Lancet Countdown: Tracking Progress on Health and Climate Change.

The event will provide answers to the following questions: “How is climate change affecting our health? How is the world responding?” and will bring together experts to discuss the latest data, challenges, risks and opportunities at a global scale and with a focus to the Italy.

Edited by the outstanding journal on medical science, the report brings together 35 leading academic institutions and UN agencies from every continent to monitor this transition from threat to opportunity, and it tracks annual indicators of progress, empowering the health profession and supporting policymakers to accelerate their response.

The Lancet Countdown Report 2019: Tracking Progress on Health and Climate Change launch event will provide an opportunity to discuss the latest data on how climate change is affecting our health, the consequences of delayed action and the health benefits of a robust response.
