San Francisco Launch of the 2019 Lancet Countdown Report

Join us for the San Francisco launch of the 2019 Lancet Countdown report as we hear from leading researchers, community activists, and policymakers about climate change and health action in California and around the world.

Climate change has been called both the greatest health threat and the greatest health opportunity of the 21st century. Climate change is impacting our health today – causing widespread human suffering, deepening global health inequities, and threatening the environmental and economic systems we depend on for survival. Taking action on climate change can improve health, and provide a pathway to sustainable development for all,

The Lancet Countdown 2019 report tracks global data on the ways climate change is affecting health and provides an independent assessment of the state of the world’s progress on climate action.

We invite you to join the 2019 report San Francisco launch, where we will hear from researchers about the latest data on how climate change is impacting health and learn from activists, community members, and policymakers about the work they are doing to tackle the climate crisis.

A detailed agenda and speaker list will be available shortly. Presentations and discussion will take place from 4:30 – 6:30, followed by a reception.
