The first Lancet Countdown South America report will be published in The Lancet Regional Health – Americas on 28 March 2023. 

Representing the work of 28 experts from 21 academic institutions and UN agencies, this regional, independent, multidisciplinary academic collaboration tracks and analyses the links between public health and climate change in South America.  

The virtual launch of the report will take place from 15:00 EST on 28 March and will bring together a diverse group of inspiring speakers and guests including leading academics, technical experts, policy makers and those experiencing first-hand the effects of our heating world. The event will be held in Spanish, with translation options in Portuguese and English.
