UCL Lancet Lecture 2016 with Ms Christiana Figueres

The Lancet Countdown: Tracking Progress on Health and Climate Change launches with the annual UCL-Lancet Lecture from Ms Christiana Figueres, former Executive Secretary of the UNFCCC.

The 2015 Paris Agreement on climate change was an historic step for the world in tackling the biggest global threat of the 21st century.


At the 2016 UCL-Lancet Lecture, former UN Framework Convention on Climate Change Executive Secretary Christiana Figueres, will speak on the opportunity the Agreement presents, for better health.


This will launch The Lancet Countdown: Tracking Progress on Health and Climate Change, a new, independent research collaboration which builds on the work of the 2015 Lancet Commission, to track a world that is responding to climate change, demonstrating the immense health benefits this brings.
